Steve Irwin

The Tragic death of Steve Irwin took the world by surprise. Killed by a stingray while filming a documentary he was immediatly rushed to safety but many say that he was killed instantly. The doctors tried very hard to keep him alive but failed. He was born on the 22 February 1962 in Essendon, Victoria, Australia and died 4 September 2006,Port Douglas,Queensland, Australia. He owned Australia Zoo which his father started. Apparently the stingray just happened to be swimming past when out of the blue it’s tail stabbed him in the chest. Steve Irwin did nothing to harm the stingray. Ferre De Deyne (friend) said ”It is absolutely tragic. I have dived so many times with stingrays and they are usually very placid things”. He was a devoted husband,son and father to Bindi and Bob Irwin. He had a passion and enthusiasm for wildlife especially crocs and cared for all living creatures great and small and his catchcry ”Crikey”.
