The state of origin is a game of rugby league played by 2 teams (NSW v QLD). The players that are picked have to be born in or around either QLD or NSW. There are 3 games in the whole state of origin each year. Each team takes turnes to have a home game which means thay play at their home place. Every year some players are picked from each rugby league team. You have to be a very good football player to be representing your home place, your team and your family.
